Finding Motivation in Hobbies: How Leisure Activities Can Drive Success
I have always had the opinion that hobbies are not just for passing time but they can also serve as important weapons that keep one moving towards their objectives by giving them strength. As time goes by, I have come to realize that engaging in activities which I truly love such as painting, hiking, gardening or playing a musical instrument among others does not only make me happy but also increases my enthusiasm to carry out other tasks of life. It appears as if through my hobbies, I get some kind of new-fangled glasses which enable me to see things differently; and this spilled-out attitude can affect every aspect of my work, relationships and personality.
Motivation is usually associated with words from motivational speakers, reading motivational books or factors within the environment like deadlines that put one under a lot of pressure. However, being motivated through doing something you naturally love because it brings about happiness is much more sustainable. Your hobby may refuel your energy, make you learn how to wait, enhance inventiveness and even form certain abilities for which you don’t need any “pressure” for attaining them.
